On my shopping trip I found real good Indian Shallots and I remembered that I have some Balsamic Vinegar from Italy at home. I cooked the peeled Shallots with red wine and Balsamic for two hours over low heat, added some gloves of garlic and a twig of Rosemary, voila! My half sandwich for lunch was done, some strips of pork, tomato, Emmental cheese (being Swiss I am bias) and Dijon Mustard on a French bread.

What has a Ethiopia to do with Japan? Well, with this dessert above very much, the Strawberries are from Ethiopia and the Green Tea Powder from Japan. Together “Strawberries with whipped Green Tea“, a combination I prepared many times while working in Tokyo.

Strawberries with whipped Green Tea

200 gram Strawberries, washed

10 gram Macha, Gyokuro preferably

35 gram Icing Sugar

200 gram Cream, 35%

Combine Macha with Icing Sugar and pour 80 gram cream into the bowl. Whisk while heating slowly over low heat. Remove from stove and add the remaining cream. Keep in freezer until cold. Whisk like whipping cream. Pour over Strawberries and serve in room temperature.

I saw this car the first on the road here in Dubai a few weeks ago and I fell in love with this car; instantly! Coming home from work yesterday two, not one, two identical BMW X6 where parked in front of my house, waiting for me? Spanking brand new, silver gray X6! Who ever did this; how can you do this to me?? Was not able to sleep the entire night, had to grab my Nikon to take at least a picture this morning.
