Just recently I received these pictures from my old friend Tim Steckbeck from the United States. Tim and me we worked twice in the same hotel and he was my boss as Director of Food and Beverage in Singapore and Manila. Later we worked twice in the same city, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. He returned with his family back to the US a couple of years ago where he manages a couple of Golf Courses in Arizona as Vice President.

And with his family. I regard Tim as one of the best managers I ever met in my 25 year hotel career, I just loved to work with him as he is very much focused and passionate what he was doing.

With all those fruit I had in my fridge I prepared a rather unusual breakfast this morning. Usually it will consist of a couple of espresso’s but not today. The night before I poured some water into a glass bowl, just enough to place another, china ware bowl into it and froze it overnight in the freezer. Pear, Mango, Passion fruit, berries, Tamarillo, Granadilla and Lime zest with Orange juice resulted into a very healthy breakfast.
