I used to visit a small Indian restaurant on Sheikh Zayeed Road near the Shangri-La Hotel. One of a sudden that place disappeared for no reason as it served excellent Punjabi food. Just by coincident wile driving in Bur Dubai I cam across Al Akbahr, asking the waiter if they where previously located near SZ I found out this was the missing eatery I was searching for. A quick lunch break later and I had my favorite Butter Chicken with Naan bread in front of me, Butter chicken so flavorsome I almost ordered a second round.

Entering the restaurant during lunch is a bit confusing since all dinners are hushed upstairs to take lunch. The food is than later transported by a dumbwaiter as we heard the bells ringing from kitchen below. The waiter was rather pushy and nosy, he started to irritate me for being around our table watching every move. The food however compensated all this and in the end I did not take notice anymore of having someone watching me.
