My good friend, fantastic chef, no, fantastic friend, hmm…wait a minute, fantastic Executive Chef and even better friend Mehmet Gok from the Four Seasons Istanbul sent me these great pictures of his dishes. Mehmet and me met while opening the Four Seasons Nile Plaza in Cairo and since then we kept in touch. Not only was he the “rock” in the kitchen but also a true diamond as a buddy. I made it to my priority to visit him in Istanbul in near future since I have heard that Istanbul is gaining world recognition for being a foodie Mecca in the making. No wonder with chefs like Mehmet.

There is nothing better than a fresh, buttery Brioche for breakfast with some great coffee to start a new day! My brioche I picked up from Paul, fresh from the oven, slapped even more butter on it, marinaded some salmon tranches with Dill and fresh lime juice, topped the brioche with a fried egg and some tomato salsa, coarse French sea salt and some spring onion. Now, thats what I call a Brioche!

Dubai is getting hot! The mercury is rising as we approach the summer heat. It is almost unbareable being without any shades, the red planet is really gloving these days. Looking at the weather forecast it is not getting any better, worse before getting better! Today during the day 36 Celsius in Dubai and I am sure at some places even higher! Lets see.
